ABOUT US

Some of you may remember an old TV commercial where a business man tries an electric razor and says “I like the razor so much, I bought the company”

This is a similar situation. The Sonida Group president (William Crable) purchased the amps and loved them so much he agreed to act as worldwide distributor for Technical Brain.

The story following is interesting audiophile tale:

The Sonida president, who resides in both Japan and the US, owned a pair of Audio Research Reference 600 Mono Block Amps. He enjoyed many trouble free years of service from those amps but as with most tube amps eventually tube and resister problems ensued.

Trying to find a technician qualified and willing to fix the 600’s in Japan was no easy task. After contacting some of the largest distributors of high end audio in Japan, all roads led to the master technician Naoto Kurosawa. While going through the process of getting the amps repaired, Mr. Crable learned of Mr. Kurosawa’s new products. He then traveled to the Technical Brain Lab (located outside Tokyo). Mr. Kurosawa asked Mr. Crable to bring his favorite record. Mr. Crable obliged and brought a copy of Bill Evans “Waltz for Debby” as well as a UK original issue of Jimmy Hendrix “Electric Ladyland”

As Mr. Crable described;
The flawless reproduction of those amazing recordings can only full be appreciated if you have heard them through the TBP, TBC and the TEQ phono stage. I loved tube amps due to the warmth and depth, but I have never heard an amp which could deliver the warmth and depth together with detail which is so clear you truly feel the musicians are in the room. The imaging is spectacular. All this with the practicality of transistors. There is very little if any heat coming from the amps. They are very powerful yet never distort. Mr. Kurosawa at one point turned the volume up full and I put ear to the speaker and heard NOTHING. This means the only signal or sound coming for the amps is pure music signal….. Spectacular”.
--Bill Crable

The development of this amplifier started from the concept of the removal of emitter resistance as a suppressive factor, which is considered a necessary evil. To realize this concept, what do we have to do? First comes the stability of the circuit that is affected by heat. Usually the circuit that detects the heat and controls the current is used for reducing the heat. That’s where the delay occurs. So we tried to control the thermo sensor where there is little delay. This is the bias circuit that we have a patent for. By developing this circuit, we could achieve the removal of emitter resistance. This is a main characteristic of our TBP-Zero power r, TBC pre and the TEQ phono stage amplifiers.

The Ultimate Audio System in Japan now available in the USA

At Technical Brain USA, we are proud to be the exclusive distributors of these phenomenal audio components, and feel that an earful of them will convince even the most demanding audiophile of their vast superiority. The complete set includes two monaural power amps, a pre-amp, a phono equalizer and a choice of noise-cut transformers.

The first thing one notices about Technical Brain pre-amps and power amps is their sleek and stripped-down outer design (available in metallic and black variations). The large array of knobs, lights, gauges and other useless gizmos on other amps actually produce heat and oscillation which interfere with the signal. Mr. Kurosawa has designed every part in his products to be super high quality, simple and each for specific technical purpose; both outside and inside, He always focuses on results that can be heard. The net result will thrill audio aficionados regardless of musical persuasion, from the rich tone of Rudy Van Gelder’s legendary Blue Note engineering to the precision of vintage Pink Floyd or Steely Dan to the most flawlessly recorded classical titles. These components bring the most out of whatever Vinyl Record, CD SACD, DVD or Tape the user plays through them. Truly, it’s like you’ve never heard your music before!
